Yes — SouthBit serves clients across South Africa and internationally. Our Claremont lab in Cape Town handles jobs from every province, as well as from neighbouring countries including Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, and beyond. Sending a drive to us is straightforward.
Sending from within South Africa
We use courier services nationwide. Most clients send their drive via a reliable courier — Courier It, RAM, or similar. Pack the drive securely (bubble wrap inside a rigid box — no loose movement), include your name and contact number, and ship to our Claremont address. Once it arrives we’ll assess it within 24 hours and send you a written quote.
Wrap in bubble wrap and place in a rigid box. No cables or accessories needed — just the drive itself. Mark the box “Fragile”.
Use a tracked, door-to-door courier service. Get proof of delivery. We recommend Courier It or RAM Couriers for reliability.
Complete the online book-in form before sending so we’re expecting your drive and can match it on arrival.
Sending from outside South Africa
We regularly receive drives from Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and further afield. For international shipments, declare the item as “hard drive for data recovery repair” at a nominal value for customs purposes. We can advise on the best approach depending on your country — contact us before shipping and we’ll guide you through it.
Payment for international clients is via EFT or international bank transfer in ZAR.
Return shipping
Once recovery is complete, we return the destination drive (with your recovered data) via courier. Return courier costs are quoted upfront and are not covered by the no-fix-no-fee policy.
